Basketball Game Preview: Foundation Academy Lions vs. Gateway Panthers + How To Watch

Having just played yesterday, the Foundation Academy Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Gateway Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Foundation Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.8 points per game this season.

Foundation Academy will head out to face Gateway after giving up their first home loss of the season on Thursday. The Lions fell 52-47 to Eustis. The matchup marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Sophia Rodriguez, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten boards. Rodriguez is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Anai Braxton was another key player, putting up 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists.

Meanwhile, Gateway put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to Altamonte Christian for the full four quarters, racking up a 90-43 victory. With the Panthers ahead 47-21 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Gateway's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Foundation Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Foundation Academy couldn't quite finish off Gateway in their previous matchup back in January of 2016 and fell 32-30. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
