After a string of five wins, McMichael's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They lost 10-0 to the West Stokes Wildcats. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Phoenix's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

McMichael saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ellie Southern, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

McMichael's defeat dropped their record down to 13-3. As for West Stokes, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McMichael will welcome Bethany Community at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Phoenix have won three straight at home, while the Wolves won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for West Stokes, they will host Walkertown at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Wolfpack have now posted at least ten runs in their last four games.
