Jo Byrns is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Knowledge Academies 63-19 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Red Devils in their matchups with Knowledge Academies: they've now won eight in a row.

Meanwhile, Montgomery Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a blow against Sycamore, falling 57-17. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 388th, while the War Eagles are ranked 176th).

Montgomery Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Jo Byrns, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-15.

Everything came up roses for Jo Byrns against Montgomery Central in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 61-26 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jo Byrns since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
