Softball Game Recap: Valencia Jaguars vs. Belen Eagles

After flying high against Highland last Thursday, Valencia came back down to earth. The Jaguars wound up with the same score they had in their last game (15-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Valencia has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Belen, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-10.

Coming up, Valencia will head out on the road to challenge Grants at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Belen, they will take on St. Pius X at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Sartans have averaged an impressive 10 runs per game this season.
