Elkmont came tearing into Friday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Section Lions get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. Considering the Red Devils have won five games by more than eight runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Elkmont's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Section, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Elkmont didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-2 win against Holy Spirit Catholic on the 21st. As for Section, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-4 loss against Whitesburg Christian Academy on the 22nd.
