Basketball Recap: T.L. Hanna Comes Up Short

T.L. Hanna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 49-35 to the J.L. Mann Patriots. While losing is never fun, the Yellow Jackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while the Patriots are ranked 18th).

When it comes to explaining why T.L. Hanna lost, don't look at Tamerah Wynn. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 15 boards. Those 15 rebounds gave Wynn a new career-high.

J.L. Mann's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Olivia McKinney led the charge by almost dropping a double-double with 15 points and nine steals. McKinney has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. Another player making a difference was Imari Richardson, who posted seven points along with 18 boards and five assists.

T.L. Hanna's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for J.L. Mann, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-6.

T.L. Hanna has already played their next matchup, a 54-53 loss against Greenwood on the 6th. As for J.L. Mann, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-38 win against Greenville on the 7th.
