Volleyball Recap: Cherokee Christian Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Cherokee Christian managed to slip by St. John Bosco Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Warriors came up short against St. John Bosco Academy on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as St. John Bosco Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.

While Cherokee Christian was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-23, 25-16.

St. John Bosco Academy can attribute much of their success to Sutton Wearne, who had eight aces. Those eight aces gave Wearne a new career-high.

Cherokee Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for St. John Bosco Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Cherokee Christian will be playing at home against The Stonehaven School at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. John Bosco Academy, they are taking a road trip to square off against Horizon Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
