Volleyball Game Preview: Portage Warriors vs. Mount Horeb Vikings + Official Tickets

Portage hasn't had much luck against Mount Horeb recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Warriors will take on the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Portage will be strutting in after a victory while Mount Horeb will be coming in after a loss.

Portage had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Stoughton on Tuesday. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Vikings. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won four in a row.

Among those leading the charge was Christina Geltemeyer, who had eight digs and two aces.

Meanwhile, Mount Horeb came up short against DeForest last Tuesday and fell 3-1. While the Vikings didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Norskies 25-21 in the first set.

Mount Horeb started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-19, 25-18, 25-19.

Mount Horeb's defeat dropped their record down to 23-9. As for Portage, their victory bumped their record up to 21-16.
