League recap: Erickson overpowering for Rock Island in past week

Western Big Six league recap: 4/3/13

Matt Erickson was the top pitcher in Western Big Six this week, leading Rock Island. He struck out ten batters this week.

Alex Million was on fire this week, as he led the league with a .583 average with nine RBIs. Meanwhile, Quincy put together a 2-2 week.

The Blue Devils' pitching staff had a strong showing this week, allowing only 16 hits and 17 walks, both of which led the league.

The league boasted three .400 hitters over the past week. Leading the pack was Alex Million, who hit .583 by going 7-for-12.

Million's nine RBIs this week put him at the number one spot for the league. For the year, he has racked up nine RBIs, good for second in the league.



Million was an RBI machine on Saturday, as he knocked in four runs during Alleman's 14-9 win over the Blue Devils. He went 2-for-3 and scored two runs.

Andrew Eilers struck out 11 in Quincy's 6-0 win over ROWVA on March 29. Over seven innings of work, he gave up three hits and zero runs.
