Basketball Recap: Sylvan-Lucas Mustangs vs. Bennington Bulldogs
Sylvan-Lucas unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 46-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bennington Bulldogs. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Leading Bennington to victory were Rori Miles and Brooklyn Clark. Miles went 9 for 13 en route to 26 points plus three steals, while Clark posted 11 points in addition to six rebounds and two steals.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sylvan-Lucas will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while.
