It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bloom-Carroll can now relate to. They fell just short of the St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish by a score of 42-39 on Wednesday. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Bloom-Carroll lost, don't look at Whitney Passen. Despite the final result, she went 6-for-12 en route to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tessa Brooks, who posted five points and six rebounds.

Bloom-Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for St. Vincent-St. Mary, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 23-2.

Bloom-Carroll does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Vincent-St. Mary, they will square off against Avon Lake at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Avon Lake will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something St. Vincent-St. Mary surely won't give up without a fight.
