Recap: West Lincoln Bears vs. Loyd Star Hornets
The West Lincoln Bears suffered their biggest loss since November 7, 2023 on Friday. They were outmatched by Loyd Star at home and fell 68-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss West Lincoln has suffered against Loyd Star since January 22, 2021.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Loyd Star to victory, but perhaps none more so than Colby Terrell, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. Terrell has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Mills, who scored 20 points along with two steals.
West Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Loyd Star, their win bumped their record up to 14-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Lincoln will face off against Bogue Chitto at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bogue Chitto is coming into the match hot, having won their last 13 games. As for Loyd Star, they will head out on the road to challenge Amite County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
