Basketball Recap: Burke Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Quinten Bull and Brody Indahl

If Burke was riding high fresh off their 64-23 takedown of Colome last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Burke Cougars fell 52-43 to Freeman Academy/Marion on Saturday. The Cougars were not able to make up for their defeat to Freeman Academy/Marion from their previous meeting back in February of 2022.

Burke's loss came despite strong showings from Brody Indahl and Quinten Bull. Indahl posted 12 points and six rebounds, while Bull dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards. Those six boards gave Indahl a new career-high.

Burke's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Freeman Academy/Marion, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-12.

Burke didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 82-62 defeat against Marty Indian on the 24th. As for Freeman Academy/Marion, they are taking a road trip to take on Beresford at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
