Softball Game Preview: Norco Cougars vs. Chino Hills Huskies

Norco has won ten straight games at home, while Chino Hills has won ten straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. The Cougars will host the Huskies at 3:15 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Norco 1.5, Chino Hills 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Norco is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Everything went their way against Oaks Christian as they made off with a 13-1 win. Considering the Cougars have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Chino Hills got themselves on the board against Huntington Beach on Saturday, but Huntington Beach never followed suit. They came out on top against the Oilers by a score of 4-0.

Not much got past Nadia Juarez, who gave up just five hits to keep Huntington Beach off the board. Juarez has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Chino Hills let Kyler Del Duca and Brett Lambrecht run wild. Del Duca went 1-for-4 with one home run, while Lambrecht went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. Leilani Allen was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Chino Hills has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Norco, their win bumped their record up to 26-3.
