Soccer Game Preview: Mission Viejo vs. Aliso Niguel

The Mission Viejo Diablos will head out on the road to face off against the Aliso Niguel Wolverines at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Mission Viejo came up short against San Clemente on Monday, falling 5-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Diablos were already down 4-1.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Aliso Niguel was not quite San Juan Hills' equal in the second half on Wednesday. They fell 4-2 to the Stallions. That's two games in a row now that the Wolverines have lost by exactly two goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Aliso Niguel and nudges their season record down to 3-4-6. As for Mission Viejo, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-12.

Mission Viejo came up short against Aliso Niguel in their previous matchup two weeks ago, falling 3-1. Can Mission Viejo avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
