Football Recap: Davidson Find Success + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fairhope, Davidson was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Bryant Hurricanes by a score of 28-15. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 25-19 victory the Hurricanes walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Micah Spivey continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 214 yards and three TDs while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushing for 67 yards and one touchdown. 92 of Spivey's passing yards were hauled in by Kingston Butler, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.

Despite the loss, Bryant saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Makai Vongsengphachanh rushed for 70 yards and one score, and also threw for 120 yards and one TD.

The win got Davidson back to even at 2-2. As for Bryant, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Davidson wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 42-7 loss against McGill-Toolen on the 26th. As for Bryant, they have also already played their next game, an 18-13 victory against Citronelle on the 26th.
