LaConner wins going away against Orcas Island

Recap: LaConner Braves vs. Orcas Island Vikings

The LaConner Braves can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They blew past Orcas Island 50-25. The victory was familiar territory for LaConner who now have three in a row.

LaConner found their leader in underclassman Maeve Mccormick, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Kim Williams, who scored eight points along with four steals.

LaConner has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Orcas Island, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. LaConner will take on Northwest at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Northwest will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 332nd, while LaConner is ranked 158th). As for Orcas Island, they will be playing at home against Concrete at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
