Football Recap: St. John-Vianney Starts Season with Loss on the Road + How To Watch

St. John-Vianney had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Seton Hall Prep Pirates by a score of 14-12. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Lancers couldn't quite close it out.

Zach Labarca threw for 116 yards and one touchdown. On the ground, Daniel Breen rushed for 99 yards.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. John-Vianney will challenge Raritan at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Lancers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Seton Hall Prep, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Chaminade at 1:00 p.m. on September 13.
