Basketball Recap: Sterling Takes a Loss

Sterling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the Southern Raiders 70-30. The Jets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-20.

Despite the defeat, Sterling saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kade Horstman posted ten points.

Sterling's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Southern, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sterling will square off against Lourdes Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southern, they will challenge Sacred Heart on Tuesday.
