Softball Game Preview: Owensboro Red Devils vs. Daviess County Panthers

Owensboro hasn't had much luck against Daviess County recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Red Devils will square off against the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. The last three games Owensboro has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Owensboro is headed into the contest having just suffered their closest loss since March 21, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of Hancock County by a score of 3-1.

Meanwhile, Daviess County faced Henderson County in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Panthers fell just short of the Colonels by a score of 8-7.

Owensboro's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Daviess County, their loss dropped their record down to 19-5.

Owensboro came up short against Daviess County in their previous meeting on Thursday, falling 12-9. Can the Red Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
