Softball Recap: Wahconah Regional Warriors vs. Franklin County Tech Eagles
Wahconah Regional kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They suffered a rough 12-4 loss at the hands of the Franklin County Tech Eagles.
For Franklin County Tech's part, Hannah Gilbert made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits. Gilbert was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Franklin County Tech let Kylee Gamache and Kyra Goodell loose on the outfield. Gamache scored two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Goodell scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Another player making a difference was Kaitlin Trudeau, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5.
