Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Palm Desert walked away with it. They came out on top against the Patriot Warriors by a score of 46-33 on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Aztecs, who have now won six games in a row.

Despite the loss, Patriot still got an impressive performance from Nathan Villanueva, who rushed for 182 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 53 yards and one TD. Villanueva really tore up the turf during one magnificent 72-yard run.

Palm Desert's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Patriot, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-2.

Coming up, Palm Desert will square off against Beckman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Patriot does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
