Softball Recap: Lorain Gets the Win

Lorain took a nine-run loss the last time they faced off against Clearview, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Lorain had just enough and edged out Clearview 12-10. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Titans.

Olivia Charlton looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits.

On the hitting side, Lorain got a massive performance out of Vada Blankenship, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and four RBI. Alonna Coleman was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing seven bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Lorain's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Clearview, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Lorain wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 14-2 loss against Elyria on the 27th. As for Clearview, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 22-7 win against Garrett Morgan on the 31st.
