Preview: Mound City/Craig vs. Albany
Albany will challenge Mound City/Craig on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes : the MaxPreps national rankings predict a close match.
There's no need to mince words: Albany lost to Stanberry last week, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 20-58. Albany's loss came about despite a quality game from junior Dawson Butterfield, who rushed for 150 yards and 1 touchdown.
Meanwhile, everything went Mound City/Craig's way against Stewartsville/Osborn as the team secured a 66-0 win. The Mound City/Craig offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Mound City/Craig's victory lifted them to 2-0 while Albany's defeat dropped them down to 1-1. We'll see if Mound City/Craig's success rolls on or if Albany are able to steal their positive momentum.
