Baseball Recap: Lake Central Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Lake Central and Crown Point squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Lake Central had to settle for second. They fell 7-2 to the Bulldogs. Having soared to a lofty 20 runs in the game before, the Indians couldn't push the score so high this time.

Josh Flores was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits.

At the plate, Lake Central saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Robinson, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Lake Central's loss dropped their record down to 25-6. As for Crown Point, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Lake Central nor Crown Point have any future games scheduled.
