Northland Prep Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They had just enough and edged out the Horizon Honors Eagles 2-1 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Spartans have posted since August 31, 2024.

Zillah Wildblood-Crawford paced Northland Prep Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. Wildblood-Crawford got some help from Makenna Murphy and her 16 assists. Karlie Zeglin controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Horizon Honors is on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Northland Prep Academy has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Duncan on the 29th. As for Horizon Honors, they will challenge Camp Verde at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
