Football Recap: Lincoln Lions vs. Tolman Tigers
Lincoln couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 22-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tolman Tigers on Friday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.
Darren Valentin had a dynamite game for Tolman, rushing for 158 yards and a touchdown, while also picking up 59 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Noah Taylor, who threw for 177 yards and two touchdowns while completing 85% of his passes.
Lincoln will look to defend their home field on Friday against Moses Brown at 7:05 p.m. As for Tolman, they will head out on the road to challenge Coventry at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
