There's no place like home for Somerset College Prep Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Centennial Eagles on Wednesday. This was payback for the Spartans, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Somerset College Prep Academy got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 17-25, 25-21, 23-25, 15-13.

When it comes to explaining why Centennial lost, don't look at Claritza Lopez. Despite the final result, she had 28 digs and three aces. Lopez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Somerset College Prep Academy's record now sits at 4-1. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Centennial will be playing in front of their home fans against Archbishop McCarthy at 1:20 p.m. on Friday. Somerset College Prep Academy will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' contest: after the Eagles face off against Central, they'll take on Somerset College Prep Academy again at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
