Centennial put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Sultana Sultans 12-2. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Huskies considering their two-run performance the game before.

Charles Rogers made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Rogers was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Isaiah Padilla, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Michael Nonis, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.

Centennial hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in four consecutive matches.

Centennial's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Sultana, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2-1.

Coming up, Centennial will venture away from home to challenge Etiwanda at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Sultana, they will welcome Silverado at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Sultana is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.
