Preview: Tabernacle Christian Eagles vs. Fishers Christian Academy Knights
The Tabernacle Christian Eagles will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Fishers Christian Academy Knights at 5:45 p.m. Tabernacle Christian will be strutting in after a win while Fishers Christian Academy will be coming in after a loss.
Even though Seven Oaks Classical scored an imposing 55 points on Saturday, Tabernacle Christian still came out on top. Tabernacle Christian walked away with a 62-55 victory over Seven Oaks Classical. The win was just what Tabernacle Christian needed coming off of a 65-45 loss in their prior contest.
Annie Sichting was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 29 points, ten assists, and nine steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Tabernacle Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Liz Southerland, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 16 rebounds.
Fishers Christian Academy kicked off their season on the road back in January and hit a couple of potholes. They suffered a tough 47-23 defeat at the hands of Crosspointe Christian Academy. Fishers Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-8.
Tabernacle Christian's victory bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Fishers Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
