Recap: Northside Patriots vs. Hardaway Hawks

The Northside Patriots's game on Saturday was all tied up 34-34 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a serious blow against Hardaway, falling 91-62. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (60), Northside still had to take the loss.

Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Barrington Adams, who scored 30 points. Adams has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Nathan Saylor, who scored 17 points.

Hardaway got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mekhi Benton out in front who scored 12 points along with three steals. Benton has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Antonio Dortch, who scored 13 points.

Northside's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-16. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Hardaway, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.

Northside will be playing at home against Northgate at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northgate has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 296 points over their last four matchups. As for Hardaway, they will head out on the road to face off against Westover at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Westover focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday.
