Basketball Game Preview: Newmarket Mules vs. Farmington Tigers

Newmarket has gone 9-1 against Farmington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Newmarket Mules are taking a road trip to square off against the Farmington Tigers at 5:30 p.m. Newmarket will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

Newmarket is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Profile, posting a 58-13 victory. The Mules have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Farmington faced Groveton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Farmington fell just short of Groveton by a score of 50-48. It was the first time this season that the Tigers let down their fans at home.

Farmington's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3. As for Newmarket, their win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0.

Newmarket beat Farmington 29-22 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Newmarket since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
