Soccer Recap: Shawnee Takes a Loss

The Shawnee Indians didn't have quite enough to beat the Celina Bulldogs on Thursday and fell 3-2. While losing is never fun, Shawnee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 270th, while Celina are ranked 64th).

This is the second loss in a row for Shawnee and nudges their season record down to 1-5-1. As for Celina, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That somehow still isn't as good as their 8-1-1 record this season.

Shawnee will host Bowling Green at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bowling Green's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Celina, they will face off against Kenton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
