It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Glacier Peak ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Arlington Eagles 2-1. Given Glacier Peak's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 74th, while Arlington are ranked 211th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Glacier Peak's victory bumped their record up to 8-5-1. As for Arlington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Glacier Peak will take on rival Lake Stevens at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Arlington is set to square off against their familiar foe Mariner at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
