Volleyball Recap: Rancho Christian's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Rancho Christian had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Hillcrest Trojans with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Rancho Christian took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-9, 25-11.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rancho Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bailey Morrison, who had six digs, four aces, and one block. The dominant performance also gave Morrison a new career-high in assists (31). Lily Del Valle also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Rancho Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 23 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matches.

Rancho Christian's victory bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Hillcrest, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Rancho Christian is set to square off against their familiar foe Poly at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hillcrest will challenge rival Paloma Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
