Volleyball Recap: Village Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Glendale Adventist last Monday, Village Christian came back down to earth. The Village Christian Crusaders took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Canyon Cowboys on Tuesday. While the Crusaders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cowboys 25-21 in the first set.

Village Christian started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-21, 25-16, 25-19.

Village Christian dropped their record down to 3-7 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Canyon, their record is now 6-2.

Looking ahead, Village Christian will venture away from home to face off against Maranatha at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. This will be Village Christian's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Canyon, they will be playing at home against Golden Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
