Softball Recap: Greendale Wins Going Away Against Racine Horlick

Greendale came out on top against Racine Horlick on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run third inning. The Panthers put the hurt on the Rebels with a sharp 13-0 win. 13 seems to be a good number for the Panthers as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Greendale got a massive performance out of Giselle Paszkiewicz, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Aubrey Cook was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

Greendale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

The win made it two in a row for Greendale and bumps their season record up to 12-7. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Racine Horlick, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Looking ahead, Greendale is taking a road trip to challenge Oconomowoc at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Racine Horlick, they are on the road again on Saturday to play Clinton at 12:00 p.m. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Rebels' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
