Basketball Game Preview: West Iredell Warriors vs. St. Stephens Indians

West Iredell is 2-8 against St. Stephens since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Warriors are taking a road trip to face off against the Indians at 6:30 p.m. West Iredell will be strutting in after a win while St. Stephens will be coming in after a defeat.

On Friday, West Iredell didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Wilkes Central, but they still walked away with a 43-39 victory.

Meanwhile, St. Stephens played a tough matchup on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Foard, falling 50-27. The loss continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.

St. Stephens' defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for West Iredell, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

West Iredell was dealt a bruising 60-16 loss at the hands of St. Stephens in their previous meeting back in January. Thankfully for the Warriors, Kennedy Blevins (who shot 77% from the field on her way to 26 points and three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
