Soccer Game Preview: Rocky Mount vs. Northern Nash

Rocky Mount hasn't had much luck against Northern Nash recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Gryphons will square off against the Knights at 6:30 p.m. Rocky Mount has given up an average of 6.5 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

The Knights never let the Firebirds get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for Northern Nash, who have now won three matches in a row.

Northern Nash's lineup was just a bit different on Wednesday as JAYDEN ROBERSON got a bit more time on the pitch (80 vs. his season average of 55.8). ROBERSON made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

Rocky Mount's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Northern Nash, their win bumped their record up to 9-2-1.

Rocky Mount might still be hurting after the 9-1 defeat they got from Northern Nash in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Gryphons were down 3-0.
