Basketball Recap: Dayspring Christian Academy Find Success

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Dayspring Christian Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They walked away with a 63-56 win over the Ephrata Mennonite Legends.

Dayspring Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Noah Huxta, who almost dropped a double-double with 27 points and nine rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Huxta has scored at least a third of Dayspring Christian Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Gabe Mellinger, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 13 boards.

Dayspring Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Ephrata Mennonite, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.

Dayspring Christian Academy has already played their next game, a 41-36 defeat against Coventry Christian on the 12th. Ephrata Mennonite does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
