Kingsford couldn't beat Waukesha North on Friday even though they stacked five runs on them in the seventh inning. The Flivvers took a 13-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northstars. On the bright side, the ten- run performance marked the Flivvers' highest-scoring game to date.

Gavin Grondin made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was his first of the season. Garrett Brown was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Kingsford dropped their record down to 1-3 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Waukesha North, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Coming up, Kingsford will face off against Indian Trail at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Flivvers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Waukesha North, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Kaukauna at 11:30 a.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Northstars 2.8, the Galloping Ghosts 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
