Soccer Game Preview: Ponderosa vs. George Washington

The Ponderosa Mustangs will take on the George Washington Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

George Washington better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Ponderosa really gets things going. Ponderosa never let Littleton get on the board and left with a 3-0 win on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won four in a row.

Ponderosa hit Littleton with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Shelbee Daffer, Kyla Tucker, and Reece Mervin.

Meanwhile, George Washington was not able to secure the win in their season-opener on Thursday. They and Wheat Ridge finished up their game with a 3-3 draw.

Ponderosa was able to grind out a solid win over George Washington in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, winning 2-0. Does Ponderosa have another victory up their sleeve, or will George Washington turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
