Hobbton entered their tilt with West Columbus on Thursday with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. They blew past the Vikings 12-1. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 9-1 win on April 7th.

Nathan Neal spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Thomas Tart was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Kasey Lee, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Hobbton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive matchups.

Hobbton's record now sits at 15-3. As for West Columbus, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Hobbton will host East Columbus at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Columbus, they will challenge North Duplin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rebels have averaged an impressive 10.9 runs per game this season.
