Softball Recap: Carlmont Comes Up Short

If Carlmont was riding high fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Marina on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Scots lost 11-5 to the Burlingame Panthers on Monday. The Scots were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

Carlmont saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Micayla Lorber, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Lorber has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

Carlmont dropped their record down to 2-3-1 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Burlingame, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carlmont will welcome Mountain View at 4:30 p.m. on the 17th. As for Burlingame, they will take on Newark Memorial at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
