Baseball Recap: Sweetwater Takes a Loss

Sweetwater fell victim to Mater Dei Catholic and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crusaders. The Red Devils haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Sweetwater's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Mater Dei Catholic, their record now sits at 5-11.

Coming up, Sweetwater will head out to take on Olympian at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Red Devils' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Mater Dei Catholic, they will venture away from home to square off against Monte Vista at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Crusaders are facing the Monarchs at the right time seeing as the Monarchs are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
