Soccer Game Preview: Davidson Academy vs. Clarksville Academy

Davidson Academy is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Donelson Christian Academy just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. While the 5-5 score might suggest a draw, it was the Wildcats who were credited with the win. Donelson Christian Academy got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Davidson Academy's two.

Clarksville Academy is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They came up short against Mount Juliet Christian Academy, falling 6-0. That's two games in a row now that Clarksville Academy have lost by exactly six goals.

Davidson Academy's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-5. As for Clarksville Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11-1.

Davidson Academy took their victory against Clarksville Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 9-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
