Game recap: St. John's Christian Academy High School Football Team takes down King Academy

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. - St. John's Christian Academy (Moncks Corner, S.C.) beat King Academy (Batesburg, S.C.) 68-28 on the strength of a superb game by dual threat quarterback Evan Hammond, who threw two touchdown passes while running for two more.

After taking the lead on a Hammond touchdown pass to Mike Lewis in the second quarter, the Cavaliers led 28-14 at the half.

St. John's Christian Academy expanded its lead to 36 points entering the fourth quarter. SJCA scored six times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Hammond.

Rashae Bey and Bobby Winters ran for a bunch of touchdowns for the Knights. Bey scored three touchdowns on the ground and Winters added three as well.



Cheyenne Bodie played well for King Academy. The senior running back threw one touchdown and ran for two touchdowns. His performance brought his touchdown total to 35 on the year.

The loss comes after King Academy defeated Cathedral Academy 50-22 last week. The loss snapped KA's 3-game winning streak.
