Softball Recap: Woodville Eagles vs. Diboll Lumberjacks

Woodville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Diboll Lumberjacks. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly four runs.

Woodville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kendall Standley, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another was Taylor Greer, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Woodville's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Diboll, their record now sits at 9-11.

Looking ahead, Woodville will head out on the road to square off against Newton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodville is facing Newton at the right time seeing as Newton is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. Diboll does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
