Soccer Recap: Niwot Comes Up Short

If Niwot was riding high fresh off their 8-0 takedown of Fort Morgan last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars fell just short of the Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Niwot couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Tori Biffle, who's now up to four this season.

With the defeat, Niwot broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-3-1. As for Cheyenne Mountain, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2-1.

Coming up, Niwot will take on Timnath at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cheyenne Mountain, they will square off against Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
