Basketball Recap: Havelock Takes a Loss

The Havelock Rams came up short against the Southwest Onslow Stallions on Tuesday and fell 55-44.

When it comes to explaining why Havelock lost, don't look at Zyking Patillo. Despite the final result, he posted ten points and eight boards. Jeffrey Jones was another key player, putting up 11 points and seven rebounds.

Josh Holder had an outrageously good game for Southwest Onslow as he dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards. Those 11 rebounds gave Holder a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlos Pagan, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine boards.

Havelock's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Southwest Onslow, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Havelock has already played their next matchup, a 67-61 loss against White Oak on the 3rd. As for Southwest Onslow, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 78-67 defeat against Swansboro on the 3rd.
